“As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.” Proverbs 25:25
Not only do many of the people in our world live far from us in actual distance, but many of them are also far from a knowledge of God’s saving grace. Just like a thirsty soul, they are desperate to hear to good news: good news that God has commanded us to bring to them. Charles Spurgeon said, “We have to bring this good news – that the Lord has not only made a way for His poor wandering children to come back to Him, but He had provided all the means needed to bring them back.” Jesus paid for their redemption on the cross, and it is out job to point them to Jesus. The rich man in hell begged for just one drop of water. And knowing that it was too late for himself, he begged Abraham, (Luke 16:27 & 28) “… send him to my father’s house: for i have five brethren; that he may testify unto them…” If we could hear the cries from hell today, what would we hear? “Please tell them…tell my son, my daughter, my father, my mother, my friend, my spouse…don’t let them come here.” How about you? Wive you give? Are you willing to go? The reason we still have a Faith Promise Missions Conference is so the Lord can speak to our hearts once again about the need of the world to hear the gospel message. As always, be a part of giving to Faith Promise Missions or going as a servant of the Lord to the uttermost part of the world!
